"Just like my dad"

One of the only things that keeps me sane some days is responding to e-mails, reading the news, IM and checking other babies blogs.
Landon's http://landon-t-blogspot.com/ Dylan's http://meettherifs.blogspot.com/ Mia's http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dc6q6qjx_418cwcc2x )

I have a feeling that my computer time is going to be drastically reduced since Zack likes to play with my laptop.

Although I wonder if Albert had anything to do with these new skills...or if is nature taking it's course. Maybe the apple doesn't fall far from tree.

"I told you so..."

I was looking for a picture on the computer last night and I came across the following picture of myself. I made me chuckle out loud for two reasons.

First, that for the past few weeks Albert has been saying "Zack has your eyes". And just this past Friday our friend Theresa, mentioned it too. I keep arguing that there was no way...He looks like a "Mini Albert". Then I saw this picture. It is really weird when you see a picture of your child, then one of yourself and you see a resemblance for the first time. It caught me off guard. So Albert and Theresa get to say, "I told you so".

Secondly, because if you look at the contraption I am in, it looks like an ancient "exersauser". I included a picture of Zack in his "modern" one, so you can compare eyes, and his toy to my really old, non-battery using, toy one.
(take notice of the small beads I got to slide from side to side...How fun!!)

I will leave the year of the toy for you to guess.

"Never wake a sleeping baby!"

A couple of weekends ago Landon and his parents, Kari and Brian invited us to join them for a get away in the mountains. Albert was unfortunately flying to Europe for work, but Zack and I decide to accept.

We all piled into the Sequoia. No sense in taking two vehicles, and besides, why else did we buy such a huge truck? (We balance out our "Eco Footprint" by also driving a "mini". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecological_footprint

Starting in the “way back”, Hailie, Bowen, (behind super cool mirror) Shawn, Zack, (in brown seat, not pictured) Landon, Kari (in mirror) and Brian (not pictured, because he was driving and taking pic). Storm and Shadow stayed home this time...that will be an adventure for another weekend.
The idea of one vehicle was perfect except for the challenge of figuring out the "right time" for two little guys to both be in the mood for the long drive.

One was happy playing with toys, Zack and the other was ready for nap and crying, Landon. Then visa versa. When Z was done playing with his one hundred toys, he screamed and Landon slept. At least it only took two stops to get to Silverthorne.

The boys had a great time play together. Yes, even LT had fun with some Z's toys. We also discovered that they have matching zebra's.
The trip home was pretty much the same as up but finally they both crashed about half the way home!! Like they say " NEVER wake a sleeping baby" so we skipped the traditional stop for food in Idaho Springs and made it home without so much as a peep from either little guys.

Mini Me...or more precisely "Mini Albert"

Zackary Micheal Gallego at 3 1/2 months

Albert Micheal Gallego at 4-6 months
As you can see from the photos above, Zack is the spitting image of his dad. Some people say they see my eyes...So I am hoping!! I guess since I am lucky enough to spend everyday with Zack, I might have to settle for him having my social skills and speaking ability. ;-)
